Tuli Information

what you need to know

Please see our Location page for more info.

Tuli falls within the summer rainfall region of Southern Africa and has a semi-arid subtropical climate. On average we have 92% rain-free days a year! Tuli is a year-round destination with less of a pronounced difference between the seasons than in other parts of Botswana.

Different times of the year offer different highlights. The migrant birds arrive from November onwards and leave in March/April. December to February is the main antelope birthing season with lots of youngsters trying out their wobbly legs. The bush dries and thins from May onwards and game is more dependent on the waterholes dotted across the reserve. Rain, when it comes, is welcome and tends to fall in the form of late afternoon thunder showers at unpredictable times between October and May.
