Tuli Safari Lodge is a great getaway destination in its own right – combining spectacular wildlife with stunning scenery and a truly relaxing lodge retreat.
As the lodge is so easily accessible from South Africa, it fits very well with a trip incorporating the Kruger National Park, Mapungubwe National Park & World Heritage Site, northern Limpopo (Waterberg, Soutpansberg) and Marakele/Madikwe.
For the Ultimate Safari Combo offering the very best of this special part of southern Africa we’ve partnered with Pafuri Camp in the far north of the Kruger. Both Tuli Safari Lodge, Botswana and Pafuri are on the banks of the legendary African rivers and were fully rebuilt after the floods a couple of years ago. The combo is for 6 nights in total with 3 at Tuli and 3 at Pafuri. Madi a Thavha Mountain Lodge, majoring on local heritage, arts & crafts, is a perfect complement to this safari combo. Rates for 2018 here.
Tuli also a natural staging post for those travelling between South Africa and Botswana, en route to or from the Kalahari, Okavango Delta or Chobe, and on to Victoria Falls and beyond. Fitting Tuli into a wider itinerary is also straightforward with our regular flights between Johannesburg and Tuli.
The Limpopo Valley Air Taxi from OR Tambo Airport in Johannesburg into Limpopo Valley Airfield (short drive from the lodge) is available daily (minimum 2 passengers for flights on Thursday or Sunday; minimum 4 passengers on any other day of the week). The flights depart Johannesburg around 11.00 and return by 14.30. Rates US$799 return or US$615 single – for more info click here and also see details of our Fly-in Special.
Limpopo Valley Airfield is ideally located as a hub for tourism in southern Africa, being mid-way between the Kruger and the Okavango Delta, mid-way between Johannesburg and Chobe, and mid-way between the Mozambique coast and the Okavango Delta. From mid-2017 we can offer flights on these routes as well as quoting other routes such as Limpopo Valley/Kasane (Chobe) and Limpopo Valley/Bulawayo (Matopos, Hwange).
