What to wear

In Winter you’ll need warm clothing for early morning and evening activities. In Summer hats & sun cream are essential. It’s worth having some sturdy walking shoes with you. The dress code at the lodge is casual.

Tuli is officially in a low risk malaria area. Please consult your doctor about appropriate malaria prophylactics. It is always sensible to use insect repellent and wear long-sleeved tops and trousers in the early morning and evening. Mosquito repellent spray is provided. All beds at Tuli Safari Lodge have mosquito nets.

Tuli is fantastic for families, with exceptionally child-friendly staff and a genuinely flexible approach. Our lodge managers and one of the owners have youngish kids and so are in the right zone, we have our own activity pack and lots of fun things to do like making plaster casts of animal tracks, going frogging and doing poo and star safaris! All children are welcome at Tuli; parents are requested to respect the tranquillity of the location and the privacy of other guests. Children under the age of 2 will be at no charge when sharing with two adults, those aged 2-12 will pay 50% of the adult rate. Children under 12 may not participate in bush walks. If parents would like children under the age of 12 to participate in game drives, please advise the lodge in advance as it may be necessary to arrange an exclusive vehicle for which there may be a charge depending on how busy the lodge is. Babysitters are available at an additional charge. Children’s meals can be made on request.

Laundry is included in our rates.

Power sockets

The lodge uses 3 and 2 pin South African sockets – adapters are available if required.
